Fragments 17 B
About Self-confidence: In order to make a good impression, an artist pays an inadequate compliment to a colleague: “You are dressed like a French director.” There followed an answer inimitable in its dignity: “I am an artist and a man of the world, so I do not look like anyone else.” In fact, he was quite mediocre as an artist.
About History: States appear and disappear over time, so history can be shared but not usurped.
About money: Losing money doesn’t bother me. What worries me is not to lose something that is not bought with money / C. K. /
